Welcome to Board.Vision Tutorials. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps to activate and notify a draft user.
Important Note: The Board.Vision web app is optimized and supported for desktop use on Google Chrome (version 65.0 and later) and Microsoft Edge (version 87.0 and later). Please note that this support is intended for desktop environments and is not applicable to mobile devices.
To activate and notify a draft user:
1) Log in to your Board.Vision account using your registered email address and password.
2) From the left navigation menu, go to Users, and click on the User's Name.
3) In the View User page, click on the Activate and Send Invite or Activate button at the top right of the screen.
*Note: If you had selected the Activate button, the user will not be notified via email of his/her account being created. Administrators will opt for this button if the user has been added to other company(ies) and previously set his/her password before.
4) On the Activate User pop-up window, type in your message within the Additional Message to Recipient (In Email) box. Then, click on Confirm.
5) Once you have clicked on Confirm, a message will appear to confirm the user account has been activated.
Important Note: When activating a user in Board.Vision through "Activate and Send Invite", the user will receive an email from notifications@board.vision containing an activation link to set their password. The activation link for the user's account will expire after 10 days. Administrators have the option to resend the invitation through the user's profile.
When a new user is added to Board.Vision for the first time, the system will:
Send a separate email notification to the Administrator confirming that the user account has been successfully created.
The notification includes the new user’s name and email address, but does not contain a password creation link, in line with our security practices.
Below is a sample Administrator email template for your reference.
Subject: Board.Vision New User Account Created - [New User Name] Dear Sir/Mdm, We would like to inform you that a new user account has been successfully created in the system. New User Details:
A password creation email (see sample below) has been sent to the new user at the email address above. Action for Admin:Please follow up with the user to ensure they have received the email and guide them through the password creation process if needed. If you need further assistance, please contact us at support@board.vision. Thank you for your support in onboarding new users. Sincerely, Board.Vision |
