We have enhanced the one-time password (OTP) steps in the SmartSign document signing process. This enhancement protects both the signing step and the file itself.


Previously, Signatories had to click on the Review Document link from their email, fill in all mandatory fields, click on Finish, and then enter an OTP for verification when prompted.

Now, the updated process requires Signatories, upon clicking the Review Document link, to first enter an OTP for verification. Once successfully verified, Signatories can then preview the Approval document, fill in all mandatory fields, click on Finish, and complete the signing process.

Revised Steps:

  1. 1) The signatory clicks on the Review Document link.
  2. 2) OTP verification pop-up prompts the Signatory to enter OTP.
  3. 3) The signatory previews the Approval document.
  4. 4) The signatory fills in all mandatory fields.
  5. 5) The signatory clicks on the Finish button.
  6. 6) Process is completed.
