Welcome to Board.Vision Tutorials. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps to add a new authorised preparer.


Important Note: The Board.Vision web app is optimized and supported for desktop use on Google Chrome (version 65.0 and later) and Microsoft Edge (version 87.0 and later). Please note that this support is intended for desktop environments and is not applicable to mobile devices.


To add a new Authorised Preparer:

1) Log in to your Director's Disclosure account using your registered email address and password.


2) Click on your profile picture at the top right corner. Then, select Manage Access Permissions


3) On the Manage Access Permissions page, click on the icon.


To add your Executive Assistant as an authorised preparer:


a) On the Add Authorised Preparer dashboard, select Executive Assistant from the "Type" dropdown list. 


Important Note: An Executive Assistant (Authorised Preparer) will have full access privileges. An Executive Assistant can view and access all your directorship appointments, shareholdings and interests in all companies listed in Sections 156 & 165. 


b) Then, under "Name", select your Executive Assistant's name.


c) Once you have selected your Executive Assistant, you will be required to select the relevant Company Name. Then, click on the Confirm Authorised Preparer button.


To add your Company Secretary as an authorised preparer:


a) On the Add Authorised Preparer dashboard, select ‘Company Secretary’ from the Type dropdown list.


Important Note: Company Secretary (Authorised Preparer) will have limited access. A Company Secretary can view and access all your directorship appointments in Section 156.

 

However, in Section 165, Company Secretaries can only view shareholdings and interests of the following companies:

 

i) Companies to which the Director has granted the Company Secretary access, including its related company(ies).

For example, Company A, Company B, and Company C are the related companies. The Director has given the Company Secretary access only to Company A, but the Company Secretary will be able to view and access Company B and Company C as well as they are related companies.

 

ii) Companies added by the Company Secretary, which includes both related and non-related companies. 


b) Then, under "Select By", choose Company or Company Secretary


c) Followed by, selecting either the specific company name or username. 


4) Next, you will be required to select the specific company name or username from the list provided below based on your choice. Then, click on Confirm Authorised Preparer to proceed.
